Just Because

The best reason to send flowers is no reason at all. Our just because arrangements bring together cheerful sunflowers, garden roses, bright tulips and graceful orchids, each designed by hand to arrive on an ordinary day and make it feel like something more.

What Just Because Flowers Mean

Just because flowers carry a simple message: I thought of you. There's no birthday to mark and no milestone to celebrate. That's exactly what makes them feel personal. A just because gift says the relationship matters on its own, any day of the year.

Choosing Flowers Just Because

Let the person guide the choice. Sunflowers and yellow blooms bring warmth and optimism, a natural fit for a friend who could use a lift. Roses, whether a classic dozen or a softer mix, say you're on their mind in a way that never feels like too much. Tulips feel fresh and easy, and an orchid makes a lasting gift that stays beautiful for weeks. Not sure? A mixed arrangement in their favorite color is always right.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does it mean to send flowers just because?

Sending flowers just because means sending them without an occasion. It's a way to tell someone you're thinking of them, you appreciate them, or you simply wanted to brighten their day.

What are the best flowers to send just because?

Sunflowers, roses and tulips are the most popular choices for just because gifts. Sunflowers feel joyful, roses feel thoughtful, and tulips feel light and fresh. For a gift that lasts, an orchid is a beautiful option.

What should I write on a just because card?

Keep it short and sincere. A few ideas: "No reason. Just you." "Thought of you today." "For the days that need a little more beauty." "You are loved."

Can I send just because flowers for same-day delivery?

Same-day delivery is available in many areas. Cutoff times vary by location, so check the delivery options for your recipient's address when you order.

Can I send just because flowers to an office or hospital?

Yes. Just because flowers can be delivered to homes, offices and hospitals. For hospitals, include the patient's full name and room number if you have it.

Can you deliver in the morning?

Of course. We have Express Delivery availability that you can select during checking out. This guarantees you an early priority delivery time. Please select this time for a priority delivery time...

Do you deliver to hospitals?
Of course. We think it’s one of the nicest ways to show your care and love. There are so many studies that show the immense benefits of sending flowers to someone who is in the hospital. We have special relationships with all the hospitals in our area and know the ins and outs of delivering there. Rest assured our customer service specialist will reach out to the hospital and confirm that your recipient is approved to receive flowers and keep you closely updated if anything about the delivery arises.
What if no one is home when you arrive?

We always retain the wonderful element of surprising the person you’re sending flowers to. If our delivery driver knocks on the door and there is no answer, our customer service team will call to the recipient’s phone number. If no one answers, we may call you to ask to advise. If our driver is at a business or residence where there is a safe location we will leave it in a safe place, and then leave a voicemail for your recipient to let them know they have flowers. We’ll leave our information as well so that they can reach out in case there are any concerns. In occurrences when we do not feel like there is a safe place to leave the flowers, we return them to the shop and notify you and your recipient, letting your recipient know to reach out to us to reschedule the delivery of a fresh arrangement at a time that works best for them. This is something we offer typically at no extra cost.

Will my flowers look like the picture?
Yes! All photography is done fully in-house with actual arrangements we make ourselves. Everything you see on our website is ours and only ours. We have an exceptionally talented design team that uses the photograph you selected for your order to create the same thing for your recipient. There are very certain instances when one type of flower is not in it’s prime, so we will substitute with an equivalent or better flower that most closely resemble the look and feel of the arrangement you chose. Our design team’s eye is exceptional and anytime we substitute the arrangement will look just as (if not sometimes more) stunning. Our #1 commitment is to your happiness and the quality of our arrangements.
How should I care for the flowers or plants?
Keep flowers and plants out of direct sunlight and away from air vents that blow air on them. For flowers, it is best to fill the vase to the very top as soon as it arrives and to refresh the water daily. You should be able to tilt the vase so that most of the water will pour out. Then refill it with fresh water. If one flower shows signs of wilting, you can just simply remove it and enjoy the remaining flowers. For green and blooming plants, wait to add water until the soil becomes dry. When watering, soak the soil and then pour off or out any excess water. If you ever want to transplant to a bigger pot, just wait at least a few weeks so the plant can adjust to their new environment before they undergo major changes in their pot and soil. For orchids or succulents, wait about 10 days between watering and provide only a small amount of water. Orchids and succulents thrive in a dryer environment! Overwatering is a very common way to cause the orchid to be unhappy!
Are you still delivering for today?
For local area deliveries, we are almost always able to make same day deliveries until 2pm. On some busier days, we can become fully booked for the day. If the option is not available online, always feel free to call and we can see if any availability is possible. For out of town deliveries, it’s always best to work with us before noon in your recipient’s time zone, so that we have the best opportunity to collaborate with our partner florist who is held to the same standards we know you’ve come to expect from us at the French Florist. Please give us a call if our site is restricting you from ordering and you do need the flowers today. We’d love to review various accommodations and see if we can consider getting you on the list.
There is mistake on my order, how can I make a change?
Our customer service specialists are very well trained to help you and are motivated to make sure everything is perfect. We’re at the ready for just that. Let us know the new information and we’ll happily update your order if it hasn’t departed from the shop. Contact the boutique that fulfilled your order - their phone number is included in your order confirmation email, or visit our contact page
I’m seeking a specific flower to include in my arrangement, can you help with that?
Of course. If it is available, we can probably get it in time for your delivery. Just call or email us at least a day in advance. Let us know what we can help you find for your custom needs.
What details will you need from me for my order?
We’ll need the recipient’s name, the address where you want us to deliver to, and the phone number for your recipient. Most people like to send a thoughtful card message along with the flowers, so you can prepare this in advance, or you can work with our talented service team who are well versed in composing meaningful card messages that convey what you want. If ordering online or through mobile, you also have the option to leave a video card message. A video card message delivered with your arrangement is a truly amazing and novel way (a benefit only the French Florist offers) of communicating a super meaningful message to your recipient. There is no charge at all for a card message or video card message. We’ll ask just for all normal billing information. All information communicated is highly private and secure.
What if I’m disappointed in the flowers?
We don’t think that will happen. With our 43 years of expertise, truly exceptional staff and whole-hearted concentration on raising the bar for the floral industry in its entirety, French Florist will move mountains to delight you and your recipient with each delivery. If your recipient’s gifts are anything less than what you had in mind when you were ordering, we want to know. We implore you to advise us so we can make it right with you and the recipient of your gift. Contact the boutique that fulfilled your order - their phone number is included in your order confirmation email, or visit our contact page
Will there be a flower substitution?

On occasion, yes. Flowers are a living material, and even the finest blooms are subject to nature's calendar. When a particular stem isn't at its peak, our design team selects an equivalent or finer variety, handpicked to preserve the color, shape, and feel of the arrangement you selected.
